Accounting/Payroll Specialist Job Description

• This is an in-office position at our corporate office in Madison, AL.

Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist Salary

• Salary based on experience, starting at $20/hr

Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements
• General ledger posting, bank reconciliation, accounts-payable activities
• Assist with month-end close
• Employee expense reimbursements
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling credit card statements.
• Backup Accounting Manager in payroll and accounts payable activities

Accounting/Payroll Specialist Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College courses or completed degree with a concentration in accounting is preferred
• 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience including proficiency with general ledger processes, payroll, and accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience with ADP is highly preferred.
• Exceptional time management, communication, and problem solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
